China lron & Steel Research Institute Group Co., Ltd.(CISRI) is a central enterprise directly managed by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). Under the approval of SASAC, former Central lron & Steel Research Institute (founded in 1952) was renamed as China lron & Steel Research Institute Group Co., Ltd, and Automation Research and Design Institute of Metallurgical Industry (founded in 1973) was merged into CISRI. CISRl is the largest comprehensive R&D and high-tech industrialized institution in China's metallurgical industry.

CISRl is one of the first 103 pilot innovative enterprises in China , It has been serving as the R&D base for new metal materials, the innovation base for major key and common technologies in metallurgical industry, and the authoritative institution for metallurgical analysis and test technology.
